How Grailed fees work
Grailed has historically charged sellers a 9 percent commission on the sale price plus payment processing of roughly 3.49 percent and 49 cents, which lands around 12.5 percent all in. Listing is free, so nothing comes out until the piece actually sells. Grailed has shifted its fee structure more than once, including moving some costs onto buyers, so treat the defaults here as a starting point and set the fields to whatever your last payout actually showed.
Grailed is where the higher end pieces go
Designer, archive, and higher end band tees get prices on Grailed that Depop will not touch, because the buyers there actually know what things are worth. The trade-off is volume. It is a slower, more specific market, so it works best as one channel among several rather than your whole shop. Run a piece through this calculator at a Grailed price and a Depop price and the fee difference is usually smaller than the price difference, which is exactly why the good stuff belongs there.
Watch shipping on heavier pieces
Grailed skews toward jackets, denim, and outerwear, which are the heaviest things you can ship. A $12 label on a $90 sale is a bigger hit than the commission is. Put your real label cost into the calculator rather than a guess, and if you offer free shipping, remember that the entire label comes out of your side before the commission is even applied.
When a calculator stops being enough
A calculator answers one question at a time. Running a reselling business means knowing which stores keep returning, which categories carry your profit, how long each piece has been sitting, and what a whole month actually netted. Hauly does this math automatically across every sale and every platform, flags dead stock before you forget about it, and keeps your numbers on every device.
